Srinagar, Apr 08 (KNO): Reiterating that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to build a secure and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday directed the security agencies to further intensify anti-terror offensives in the Union Territory. After chairing a high level security review meeting at Raj Bhavan here, Shah, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), wrote on X: “Chaired a security review meeting for J&K along with Lt Governor Shri Manoj Sinha Ji and senior officials. Agencies crippled terror in J&K through the Modi Govt's multi-pronged approach to security. Instructed to further intensify anti-terror offensives by advanced vigilance and seamless mutual coordination to achieve the goal of uprooting terror for good.” “The Modi government is committed to building a secure and prosperous J&K,” he added. As per the details available with KNO the security review chaired by the Union Home Minister was attended by LG Sinha, Union Home Secretary, Army Chief, GOC Northern Command, Deputy Chief of Army, GOCs of 15, 16 and 9 Corps, Director IB, Chief Secretary, J&K Director General of Police; Director Generals of Indo Tibetan Border Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Railway Protection Force, Border Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal and National Investigation Agency. Others who were present in the meeting included Principal Secretary Home J&K, Additional Secretary RAW, Special Director IB, Joint Secretary Home Affairs J&K, Ladakh, Principal Secretary to LG Sinha and Chief Executive Officer Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Joint Secretary RAW, Joint Director IB, Additional Director General CID, Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu. Inspector General of Police, Kashmir & Director Security of Ministry of Home Affairs. The Union Home Minister while addressing the meeting said, “Under the leadership of PM Modi, the Government of India is committed to establishing lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir and completely eradicating terrorism.” He lauded the efforts of security agencies for significant reduction in terror-related incidents, infiltration and recruitment of youth in terrorist organisations. Shah, as per KNO, reiterated the zero tolerance policy against terrorism under the leadership of PM Modi. “Due to sustained and coordinated efforts of the Modi Government, the entire terror eco-system nurtured by elements inimical to our country in Jammu and Kashmir has been crippled.” He directed all security agencies to continue efforts with a coordinated approach to eliminate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He also directed that the implementation of Area Domination Plan and Zero Terror Plan must be ensured in mission mode. The Home Minister said, “All agencies should continue to work in a coordinated manner so that the gains made after the abrogation of Article 370 in the Union Territory can be sustained and the goal of ‘terror free J&K’ can be achieved at the earliest. The government led by PM Modi is providing all resources necessary to achieve this goal.” The Union Home Minister also reviewed the preparations for forthcoming annual Amarnath Yatra which is scheduled to commence on July 3. He directed concerned agencies to take all necessary action for conducting pilgrimage peacefully—(KNO)
